The visit from Wimbledon

A page from an old diary, on which several names are written with a feather pen.

The guestbook of the Rosecliff Villa in Saint-Patrice (entries from 1893).

Private coll. (Lindsay Thomson).

Started in 1891, this diary was a first and foremost a guestbook, but it was also used to jot down many details from daily life. It shows the period when Rosecliff Villa belonged to Chief Justice of Quebec William C. Meredith and then, starting in 1903, to the Thomson family. The summer home still belongs to the Thomsons.
