Sea Bathing! Sea Bathing! St. Lawrence Hall, Cacouna
La Minerve, June 28, 1869 (Bibliothèques et archives nationales du Québec, digital collection)
THIS HOTEL is now open for the season. Over the winter months, the following additions were made: a Large Ballroom; a Sitting Room for the Ladies; a Reading Room and Smoking Rooms for the Gentlemen; an enlarged Dining Room; and sixty additional Bedrooms; with other important improvements which now make this Hotel the last word in comfort.
A very comfortable hotel has just been built which will accommodate guests’ horses.
Boarding fees for private families will be as moderate as possible, and arrangements for this purpose can be made with Mr. H. Hogan, Proprietor of St. Lawrence Hall, in Montreal, or at the Hotel at Cacouna.
An omnibus with a luggage car meets steamers and trains. There is a telegraph office in the hotel.
